Lakshmi Ganapathi Films, the film production and distribution company that presented many English and Tamil films in Telugu, has acquired the Telugu rights Kamal Haasan's orthcoming Tamil romantic comedy entertainer ‘Manmadhan Ambu.’ Karunanidhi’s grandson Udhayanidhi Stalin is producing the film on his Red Giant Movies banner. Telugu version is yet to be titled.
The film, directed by KS Ravikumar, will star Trisha in the lead female role and R Madhavan in a key role. ‘Ghajini’ star Surya Sivakumar will make a cameo appearance. Release is expected in December. Film is currently undergoing post-production works.
Other star cast includes Ramesh Arvind, Sangeetha, Manju Pillai, Oviya, Kavita Radheshyam, Usha Uthup, Crazy Mohan and Santhana Bharathi.
The film features music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography is by Manush Nandan and editing by Shaan Mohammed.
Lakshmi Ganapathi Films also bagged the Telugu rights of another big Tamil film ‘Ezham Arivu’ (The Seventh Sense) being produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies banner. It stars Surya Sivakumar and Shruti Haasan in lead roles and is directed by AR Murugadoss.
